What a great hotel and family that runs it. Extremely nice understanding and caring people. The rooms were spotless and everything in great shape. Not to mention the beds! It was comfier than my own bed. The price for what you get is unbeatable. Highly recommend

This place was better than I expected. I was definitely pleasantly surprised. Clean and cozy. Nothing fancy but great for the price.

For the price, this motel was a decent no frills option, with a good working fridge and tv, clean bathroom, and ac. The most important thing when booking these cheaper motels is that they are cleaned well, and our room certainly was ok. Did smell slightly of the old house smell.

Great place. Older but very good. Big room with two queen beds. Rooms are spotless, and beautifully put together. By that I mean the details are impeccable: rooms have been updated and mine was put together like a watch— clean carpets, Nice queen beds, up to date bathrooms (plunger in the sink actually works!!), right angles on the walls. No bows in the doors (ie, not pried open), keyed locks were new and worked, no mould, no spots on the rugs. Someone cares a lot about this place and has taken great pride in maintaining/updating the facility. I stayed in the best western in canyon, Texas last week, It was not near as nice, and cost 50 bucks more (after taxes). I stayed in rm 22 in Aug 2022. I’m a motorcyclist, and have stayed in multiple motel rooms this summer, this one was…most satisfying, maybe the best. If I’m effusive in my praise it’s because Covid did the motel industry no favors, and I have found most places I’ve stayed to be way overpriced (a 60 dollar room two yeas ago is 90-100 bucks now) and…..shabby. This place is very good, I’d recommend it w/o hesitation. There is a restaurant next door with pretty good eats. Five stars to the paintbrush motel.

Clean rooms, comfortable bed, safe and comfortable location with no loud noise or late night traffic. The family who runs it is very accommodating and let me check in after hours and stay a bit past check out without extra charge. I also left my pillow there and they went out of their way to return it to me. A great rest after a long couple of weeks camping in the woods.

A quaint family run motel with large rooms and two queen sized beds. The rooms look like they were recently renovated with new mini refrigerators and microwave. The staff was friendly upon check-in and ensured we were satisfied with our accommodations. We had an issue with the AC. I told the front desk clerk and he immediately resolved the issue. It was nice to see that what was important to me was also important to him. With covid, we always wipe down the rooms prior to bringing in our belongings. To our surprise, the rooms were one of the cleanest we have been in! Only downside is that the rooms were carpeted. The hotel was busy but the evening was quiet and the beds were comfortable so we got restful sleep.

Pleasantly surprised!! Staff was very friendly, room was very clean!! Very quiet and had a great night's sleep!! Rooms are dated, but that is not a big deal for us!! We look for clean, comfort, friendly. A great rate too!!

We loved the comfortable rooms, tasty breakfast, and the games area.
